Depends on where I'm going, but I'd say $3000.

depends, is it two weeks in disney world, nyc, hawaii? or are you going to anchorage, alaska? you're going to spend more money in cities that have more to offer. consider the money you might spend doing things away from your resort, like museums, clubs, shopping, restaurants, and taking cabs to all these places. to be safe, take NO LESS than $500 for a trip that long. and if you are travelling overseas, do half cash-half amex travellers cheques. trust me, you don't want to lose(in my case, temporarily misplace) your credit/debit card while in another country.

Me being the person i am i like Georgia so i would bring 4600 dollars only because i live in Kansas .
500 (for the gas )
(for a hotel= 100 dollars a day)so 1400 dollars
300(for food)
2000(clothes and shoes cause i love to shop)
200(to get my hair done)

if not international and not to vegas then id probably bring between 100 and 200 for food. otherwise it depends on the trip. rental car? or cabs? cabs can add up fast. also are you seeing shows? also depends on kind of trip. as a college student i could survive on ramen for 2 weeks for a grand total of 5 bucks for food.
if not counting food cabs gas hotel or entertainment... (leaving nick nacks and souvenirs) id bring 50 bucks
