I think as far as rock music goes, it was a fairly uneventful decade. Unlike the 80s, with everyone becoming obsessed with synthesizers and the "80s sound" nothing like that really caught on during the 90s. I liked some of the grunge stuff (Pearl Jam) at the early part of the decade, but grunge didn't last long. I think Dave Matthews Band will be around for awhile, but not many others who got big during the 90s. Actually, I think the most fascinating thing was the resurgence of the older groups.....Pink Floyd, the Eagles, the Rolling Stones, and Jimmy Page&Robert Plant reunited---that is quite impressive if you think about it.

I'd have to say alternative music got big in the 90's. Anything by Nirvana, I loved Cake, Greenday, Nada Surf. I miss those days... Oh and when Gwen actually rocked with No Doubt.
