It seems to hurt around the time that I am having my period, and it happens everytime. If that is why my back IS hurting, how do I make it stop?

All the time,

Take advil or put an ice pack wrapped in thin towel on part of back that hurts. Get someone to rub your sore back, I've always wondered why this happens & what it has to do with my period, but as you get older alot more things will get sore and start hurting this is only ther begining.

Alternating heat and cold therapy will only work for so long if the pain is so severe you can't sit, walk or stand for extended periods ( no pun intended ) of time. Based on personal experience ( 15 yrs + ) , it does go away but I need to address that the muscle area needs to be loosened, taking a long hot shower and self massage in tandem helps, it is temporary though. I also recommend taking a bath, fill the tub half way only with lukewarm water with one tablespoon epsom salts, let it swish. Get in and have a dark towel handy to cleanse yourself. I do apologize for getting intimate... when it comes to the bathing part, let the uterus drop, those eggs need to flow naturally. When you've had a menstrual cycle for so long, a woman does feel it. And to sum up, and this sound bizarre but chocolate does help as well, dark chocolate and a glass of milk eases the friction and helps the insomnia associated with pms.
