Clinton did it, and it can be done again!
Anytime you let a Republican get their grubby little hands on money you know exactly where it is headed, and it isn't to children, elderly or the poor!
Give me a break with the socialism crap! You have been stealing from the poor for over 200 years!
When the rich get a tax cut it is too trickle down somehow, but never does. When the poor get a break from being used as slave labor, like 12 year old's used to in sweat shops, it is "Socialism" or redistribution of wealth! He;;, the top 1% already has almost all the money! How much do they need to get by on? 10 Billion a year?

They can, but they can't do it overnight. They'll have an uphill battle until a Democrat sits in the Oval Office. I'm not saying you expect this, don't take me wrong, but I am dismayed by so many people who expect Congress to work miracles in a very short amount of time. I know the members of Congress were bragging about their timeline intentions, but I think some of them were a bit giddy with victory and really thought they could do that. They were wrong, and now it's pretty much the way it's always been. Congress takes a long time to come to decisions about a problem the size of Iraq. On top of that they need to deal with our domestic problems. It's maddening when so many things need to be changed, but they are not magicians pulling a rabbit out of their hats. I think the key really is getting that Democrat into the White House. Until then, they will be unable to do too much more than tread water on the domestic issues because the public is screaming bloody murder about Iraq.

Bush entrusted Ted Kennedy with the education programs. Evidently he thought the credo was "no bottle of scotch left behind." Don't count on congress to accomplish much for the people. They're purchased by the very institutions we all know are dragging our way of life into the sewer.

8 years ago.. Clinton was in office. Which is interesting because that's when these scandals were taking place.
Wait.. he's also the president that raided the social security trust to create a bogus "balanced budget" wasn't he?
Not to mention his trade deal with China, which he fully understood was going to be amazingly lopsided.
Republican polices aren't perfect.. but they're a whole hell of a lot better than what the left has in mind.

You are confusing abuse of power with doing what a leader should to prevent further attacks on the U.S.
