Your question reminds me of a famous quote by H.L. Mencken:
When a candidate for public office faces the voters he does not face men of sense; he faces a mob of men whose chief distinguishing mark is the fact that they are quite incapable of weighing ideas, or even of comprehending any save the most elemental — men whose whole thinking is done in terms of emotion, and whose dominant emotion is dread of what they cannot understand. So confronted, the candidate must either bark with the pack or be lost... All the odds are on the man who is, intrinsically, the most devious and mediocre — the man who can most adeptly disperse the notion that his mind is a virtual vacuum. The Presidency tends, year by year, to go to such men. As democracy is perfected, the office represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. We move toward a lofty ideal. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

Are you suggesting that we uneducated are unworthy of representation or that given the right to vote we should not be allowed to vote as we choose.
Oh by the way. How often have you really had a burning cross on your front lawn. Ever? And if so, who are you accusing of putting it there? "W"?, me?, poor uneducated people? Or are you just taking vile acts out of context and transferring blame to others who you disagree with?

I find it funny that the Left always assumes to have the intellectual high ground on every position that they take and simply assume that if you disagree with them then you are a moron. Sadly, most of the people who vote democrat are poor and uneducated. The statistics simply bear this out. As you move up the wealth scale, the people on that scale tend to lean heavily on the Right, with the obvious exception to the "Educators" of our world and the ever-so-intelligent Hollywood Clan.

I don't think it's a question of education exactly- but rather a matter of "gullibility". We are WAY too quick to put our faith in "appearances"- in this country. We don't want to be "bothered" with asking questions of authority figures...-It's easier to hand over the reins of power to someone ELSE- than taking on the responsibility of looking into matters for ourselves. Sadly, I believe Bush DOES represent the people who voted for him. And how where we are today in the World- explains why our days as a Superpower- are numbered.

Too funny, I'll put that cross out for you....I totally agree with you, it's sad these are hard working God fearing people who are totally behind someone who doesn't have their best interest at heart. They believe him when he's says he's a Christian - it's the Christian thing to do. They feel closer to him because his grammar and vocabulary matches theirs. He puts on a damn fine show of being salt of the earth but put a pea under his mattress and see what happens..

Actually, if you look at the states that voted for him all had Average IQ's in Bush's range, and i mean in the 90's. There were about 3 states that did not meet that criteria!
I can't remember exactly, but I don't believe any state that voted Democrat had a lower average IQ than those who voted for Bush!
Not surprising since far more Democrats are college educated than Republicans!

Statistically speaking exactly the opposite. The more education you have the more likely you were to vote for Bush in the last election.
But it's not a complete loss for your kind.. people who vote Democrat do lead in the "convicted of felonies" category by a 4 to 1 margin.
