It would be awfully nice if you could tell us what country your 2000 peso note is from. I can think of six countries that it could be:
Chile (2000 pesos = US$3.70)
Colombia (2000 pesos = US$0.90)
Philippines (2000 pesos = US$41.24. The only 2000 peso note issued so far is a commemorative issued in a special folder that has some additional collector value)
Mexico (2000 pesos notes dated before 1993 have been demonetized and are worthless)
Dominican Republic (2000 pesos = US$59.76)
Uruguay (2000 Pesos Uruguayos = US$81.95. Only notes dated 1994 or later are still valid. 2000 Pesos Uruguayos notes have a holographic strip on them. Earlier issues are worthless.)

Since I do not know which country's pesos are you referring to, could be a Philippines or Colombia note, I suggest you use this online converter: http://www.xe.com/ucc/full.php
But bear in mind that when you are converting your pesos to US dollars at the foreign exchange counter, you'll get slightly less than the amount you pay to get the pesos earlier.
