I own a TVS Victor, I would like to change my rear tyre. Can i put a tyre which is wider than the older/factory tyre. What will be pros and cons of this . Tech Spec shows that the tyre dimension is 3.0 X 18 ? what does this mean. Please help me to understand

3.0 x 18 + 18 is rim diameter 3.0 = 3 inch (approx.) tread width

As far as putting on a larger tire goes:
You can increase the tire size as long as the tire does not make contact w/any part of the frame, swing arm, chain, fender, etc. It has to be able to do this throughout its range of motion, upward & downward travel.
I wouldn't recommend doing it however, the driving characteristics of the bike will not change that much. And you probably won't be able to go much larger since the bikes swingarm width will limit any increase.

You can go to a nearest tyre dealer and ask about which one to fit in. But remember, the wider is the tyre of ur bike, the more it will cost U on mileage, and I would recommend not to do it coz ur bike's engine will not be able to hold it for long. It will increase the grip on the road but the mileage will come down. But U can go for fitting a wider tyre on powerfull bikes like Pulsar, Unicorn....etc. So if U can afford costs, then go ahead otherwise leave it as the way it is coz "Simplicity is Beauty". All the Best.

It depends on the rim width which is stamped into wheel rim (diameter, 18X ?...1.15/1.85/2.15) you probably have an 18X1.85 which can just take a 3.50 x18 tyre but 3.25 would be better.
If its smaller, stick with stock
If you fit a wider tyre it may wear out faster as it doesn't flex the same and has a smaller contact patch until your on the limit cornering and bike is leaned well over (but as sidewall is taller it makes bike unstable)

The 18 is your wheel size and the 3.0 tire size.. You can go larger to a point. Too large will not fit inside the fender or go between the swing arm and cause it to rub on something.. I assume you are wanting a larger rear tire.. You are usually best off to stay with the factory recommended size to balance with the factory front tire size.

yeah on a "600cc" motorbike making the purely advanage you may have might want to be stepping into a immediately line. Your cornering will decreas plenty. you'd be extra reliable and it truly is conceivable. Wont seem correct or sense correct. Plus only for the record your motorbike is likely a 599cc. until eventually you've deep engine artwork finished to it, its no longer conceivable to get 600cc motorbike.
