Yeah...she was a model.....she had money...and um, yeah. We should be sad at the death of anyone. But come on! That judge....omg. The whole thing has been on parade like a circus! Our society is becoming 'sadder' by the moment. There are a lot more important things going on that could occupy air time!

Colie,
Hate to tell you this but she was not a model she was a stripper whose claim to fame was marrying a very old guy.

She's a celebrity. The American society is in awe of the entertainment industry, which Anna Nicole was part of. She was a celebrity and many people admired her for one reason or another. She was wealthy and famous, which all Americans at least recognize, if not envy.

Whether it be Anna Nicole's death from over dose, Britney Spears shaving her head, Paris Hilton's Lamborghini being confiscated by the authorities, people pay attention to these celebrities and the media can only make money by focusing onthem.

Anna Nicole provided people, at one time at least, with an ideal of beauty, which is only in our human nature to favor. Now some people may feel that the media spends too much time on her and the present situation regarding her because she didn't do that much, but the media couldn't care less as long as their is enough reaction, such as your question, so that people will watch the evening news, read about it in the newspaper, and give it their attention.

Maybe because she just died?

Duh!

Don`t worry though.

All this media frenzy will die down in a few weeks once they`ve established the identity of Dannielynn`s father.

It`s still very sad though that both Anna Nicole and her son Daniel passed away so close to each other.

For their deaths alone we should show some respect, wouldn`t you agree?

As far as benefiting or contributing to society, I would say Anna Nicole provided us with some damn good entertainment, don`t you think?

Are you a Playboy enthusiast at all?

The media and society alone is infatuated by this story simply because she has failed at almost everything she has done. Now that she is gone it is kind of sad that people were the way they were to her. She failed when all we wanted to see her do was succeed. Personally I think the media frenzy has gone on longer than usual just because of the issues of her estate, paternity testing, and the fact of whether she and her son might have been murdered.

Anna Nicole Smith was the kid everyone knew, because everyone could pick on her really easily. Now that she is gone, the media is still milking what they can from her.
Personally, I think it is tragic. Everything about her story is just sad to me.

No benefit, as she had no social redeeming qualities whatsever. But in today society, that is exactly what people find attractive and fascinating.
It's sad and unfortunate.

If Smith provided us with any entertainment at all, I didn't want to dig through the garbage to try and find it....

Sad to say but true that people like to see other people fall. It's human nature and I think that we have so much going on in our lives that we like to fantasize being in these celebrity lifestyles. And when they fall and make mistakes for some reason it validates how much better our normal lives actually are on some level.

I absolutely agree with you. We Americans are one of the most ignorant people on the earth. Its very sad how we infatuate ourselves with the lives of our celebrity icons and ignore the world issues.

People know so much more about brangelina and anna nicole then they do about the war in sudan and the chernobyl legacy.

She hasn't provided anything worthwhile to society. But they focus on her because her story is interesting it involves sex, death, drugs, and money. All the components of a good soap opera!

I think that perhapse we area inthrawled with her because she was very poor and down and out, and became famous and rich.

She represents the fact that none of us are really stuck in our lives.

Also, she had a crazy endearing charm, that makes people want to watch.......even when her life was a train wreak.
