In India, we are more considerate of indiscrimination. A uniform for school students would make everyone appear same. No-rich No-poor No-caste No-creed No-religion No-language distictions can be made! Children would grow with this indiscriminating nature in their minds!

It doesn't matter what most of the developed countries do. Germany was considered a developed country when it initiated World War I and World War II...does that mean people should wonder why other developed countries have not started a world war?

India is an awesome country with great people and great rules. Now I agree that the rules can be sometimes corrupt or stupid, but hey, it's our country and we should learn to respect it.

Even here in America we have school uniforms for some schools and even though they may not be common, it still happens. To be honest, I like uniforms better than regular clothes because that way people cannot judge you on your poverty or wealth. Everyone wears the same clothes so that no one is made fun of for not wearing "cool" or "hip" outfits that they may not be able to afford. Second of all, if a child gets lost, it's easy to locate him/her if the school uniform is known. Third reason is that if a child tries to skip/ditch school and on his/her way someone sees him, they can report that to the school and the school can have an easier time finding him/her.

Anyways if those aren't enough reasons to convince you, I don't know what will. I hope that helped and don't diss the uniforms..Learn to like them. And think of it this way: it has worked for India for the past many years because it has promoted academic excellence and integrity :)

Take care and God Bless India

India in such a great country which posseses dignity, integrity and also maintains equality.Uniform in schools is considered to maintain equality among all the categories of the children without the difference of rich and poor.Uniform also gives the representation of a particular school. If there is no uniforms like other developed countries then children tend to concentrate on the dresses comparing with the other children instead of learning at school.I hope this method should not be implemented in future too.

hello friend !!
india is actually a developing nation when compared to the other nations. in india we are more considerate about indiscrimination. we want all of them to be treated equal in eyes of every human being. school is a place where a lot of good things and morals are learnt everyday.its a holy and a scared place. so we particularly need no discrimination in such a place.

The Catholic schools here (USA) often have uniforns, as do some private schools.

One of the reasons for uniforms is to make all the students look the same, rich and poor. Their family's money shouldn't make a difference in their own schooling.
