Because they are hypocrites!!!
When I say I want the troops home, they say that I am not "supporting and loving" the guys and girls in our military. But they sent them out there to get killed--without proper armor--and they "love" them????? Methinks it's "1984"!!

It's true that war is an everpresent possibility when one is serving in the armed forces - and the military people accept that, however what is unacceptable is the level of disrespect shown to wounded veterans at Walter Reed, they should be given the utmost care instead if living in moldy vermin infested rooms.

It is not the Republicans trying to cut funding to our troops, which will surely get them killed. Republicans have never tried to cut military benefits - look on the other side of the aisle for that.
Every time the democrats want something passed to cut military spending they attach it to a necessary bill.
As a mother of an Army Officer, i will continue to put my trust in the Republicans to protect my son & his benefits.

By "our" policies I assume that you mean the Liberals new proposed (by Murtha) policies to slowly "bleed" the soldiers out until they can no longer defend themselves.This is how the Liberals care about our soldiers.
I say that I care about them because I want to give moral and financial support needed to the war and the troops fighting it.
Edit: Also the crap line about the risk to their lives is an invalid argument. They weren't drafted, they signed up willingly knowing that "armed forces" and "soldiers" meant risking their lives in war. Also, not all of them signed up at peace time.

are you saying republicons? Not all cons agree with the con in the white house. I dont think he even is a con. I dont know what he is. A dictator or sumthing. But the respect soldiers get from people when they return is heart warming. I think everyone wants those boys home I dont care what religion you are. or what ever were talking about.

They support the troops as symbols of "American Freedom", and they support the war effort, but they don't look after the soldiers as people. The soldiers are expendable on the battlefield, and if they make it through that... they're as expendable once the get home.

Cause that is the job of the armed forces. We as taxpayers pay them to do these things. It's their job to be in harm's way.
