What caused the Ice Age?

Where did the Ice Age come from?

A recent theory regarding causation of the ice-age, is Global warming.
As stupid as that sounds there is a good argument going on right now in scentific communities.
The theory is that an ice age can occure and did occure due to the Global "convayer" slowing down ; the Global convayer is a Salt-Water/ Fresh Water interactive system that makes our Oceans push warm water around the globe keeping areas warm; Notice that England is on the same Longitued as Canada and England has Moderate Winters while Canada freezes over; this is due to a warm water current running right past England. This happenns because of the Global convayer that brings the warm waters from the Carribean, up to the North (far out to sea ) and around South to England. The ice age that occured thousands of years ago may have been caused by massive Volcanic activity warming the globe temporarily and causing ice caps to melt.
The Global Convayer is breaking down due to Global warming, how? Ok, Salt water is denser than Fresh water, when salt water meets freash water it pushes through it moving it aside and downward; this displacment causes movement; the rest is plain and simple; as Global warming melts the Polar caps more and more fresh water is forced into the seas and the fresh water-salt water balance is disturbed. Since the salt water is diluted, it is less dense and therefore has less of an impact on the fresh water it interacts with; it simply is not as dense as it was and the convayer is slowing down. No Bueno as when things freeze, nothing moves, no convayer either.
Recent deep water studies in the Convayer clearly showed less salt density than there was ten years ago.
In the event the conyayer slows to much, or stops, we may enter into the ice age again as the warm water circulation will Stop causing sever winters intruding south into our hemishere, with suich sever winters, we may only see a few weeks of something resembling "summer"; scientist predict if this occures it may last 10 to 15,000 years before the convayer re-starts itself; insignificant on a Global Geologic scale, yet on human terms it would devistate our species.
