there is no rule that says you need to urinate after sex, but the it may help prevent urinary tract infections or cystitis. During sex bacteria levels rise and by urinating afterwards, it flushes away some of the bacteria which cause UTI'S.
(it may seem like a strange theory, but urine is actually sterile)!

You urinate after sex to prevent Urinary Tract Infections (UTI for short). They can be very painful and very agitating, also to prevent yeast infections, and any other infection that is caused by uncleanliness. Urinating after sex flushes your system out so that whatever germs, sperm, other types of things that can germinate, doesn't germinate and cause an infection.

when you have sex its possible for bacteria fron the surrounding ares to be pushed into your urethra due to all the, ahem, "action" in that general direction. if the bacteria isnt flushed out asap it can track further up and lead to UTI's and even potentially kidney infections if a UTI isnt treated. always pee before and after!

great question!
women are designed with 3 holes very close to each other. we can contaminate any of these holes with stuff from the others. the hole leading to your bladder is the most important to keep clean. otherwise, you risk bladder infections or worse.
pee before and after sex to wash away germs or gunk.
for guys, it doesn't matter much.
