she will most likely need surgery, has anyone else heard of any other different options besides surgery because the thought of surgery on a 2 1/2 year old scares me to death.

My Daughter has a lazy eye. She wears glasses that are adjusting things nicely. I would get a second opinion though. Our doctor mentioned that if this didn't work, surgery would be the next step. It would scare me as well but I want what's best for my girl.

Your best bet is to see another doctor about surgery, not people on the web because you don't know who you're talking to. See about the patch also, it was disproved to work way back when I was a kid and I'm 50 now.

My son was 3 when he had his first eye surgery,and i was beside my self with fear ... he has now had 2 on his eyes and 1 on his tummy . So i know the fear but beleave it or not kids are ALOT tuffer than we are so if she needs it then let her have it done ... she will do great ... put faith in god and in your lil girl ..
