Family, do everything in your power to keep your families together. The propaganda that tears families apart in this country is the propaganda that tears the country apart. people start not to care when they feel, they have nobody.
This is a personal task, but it is up to you also to educate your friends and family.
In my travels I found one thing. the strength of family units. In china the family is king! entire communities are based around a couple of families. and they don't let anybody or even the government have any influence on their family. rich or poor.
people say they care about their families in america, but they never spend any time with the family. The most successful people come from families that have stayed together.
sadly TV is the new family in america. and big government is Big brother. now he sets the tone for what is right. And i'm sure we can all agree big brother is a basketcase. and he wouldn't know what's right if it hit him in the face. Take back your family and you will take back the government.
Good luck and God Bless

I know what you mean. I think the overall level of apathy is a pretty rational response to the ocean of b.s. that we all seem to be swimming in.
Never in the history of mankind have so many people uttered statements that they know to be untrue. Presidents, priests, politicians, lawyers, reporters, corporate executives and countless others have taken to saying not what they actually believe, but what they want others to believe -- not what is, but what works.
The platitudinous pablum that passes for stirring political rhetoric is b.s. The scripted, question-proof events that pretend to be spontaneous exchanges are b.s. The committe-crafted persona and the focus-grouped fad and the rule of polls are straight-up b.s. The disease hysteria du jour is b.s., and so is the latest miracle pill. The new product that will change your life is probably just more cheap, plastic b.s.
There is an important distinction between lying and b.s. Liars at least care about truth and sincerity. BSers are unburdened by such concerns.
I am not convinced that too many politicians actually have ideological convictions. Instead, they rely on consensus. It reminds me of something Huey Newton, Black Panthers founder, said to David Horowitz, "Everybody's got a hustle; communism is just my hustle." I think this cynical quotation pretty well sums-up today's Republicans and Democrats. You may be too young to remember Reagan saying he would get government off our backs, George Bush, 41, proclaiming, "no new taxes," Bill Clinton declaring, "the era of big government is over," or George W. Bush calling himself a conservative. It's all just a power hustle. What do I do about it? I vote Libertarian - it's the only resort for intelligent voters.
Even Britney Spears head-shaving is phony. She complains about paparazzi, but isn't it odd that she ventured out in front of all their camaras to do something she could have done at home. It was just more P.R. fakery.

2 responses to your question:
1 - If you dwell too much too long on the problems of the world and the problems in our lives depression sets in followed by hopelessness and defeat. We need a release and following celebrities crazy lives gives us that release.
2 - The media chooses what and how much information we receive. Unfortunately liberal media does consider Britney Spears more interesting than war. Hate to say it but we feed right into it. Turn off the junk TV.

Oh don't worry their government has a plan for them. They will all (the ones that survive the nuking) be rounded up into government work camps and forced to serve the war machine that has ruined their lives.
Fifty years of state sponsored apathy has turned the American public into the sheep their leaders think they are. The NWO will now slaughter a large percentage of the sheep and in-slave the rest.

No dude, I feel the same way. But, we all have to work together in mass to get anything done. The problem is getting people off their butts to do anything. The illegal immigrants all protested for what they want from us, but we couldn't counter protest because we couldn't get enough people who care to show up! That is why we are going down as a society and possibly a country!

The majority of us don't like politicians. A truly gifted statesman is one in a million and anyone with that type of intelligence can't compete against the block heads who monopolize that industry.
It's a catch 22 - so we just live our lives and let those freaks lead theirs.

Nothing will change until their way of life is adversely affected or seriously threatened. Sad to say, but by the time Americans wake up, it will probably be too late.
