I think he sees him as a threat to his title. Kobe will dethrown him in a couple seasons if he has not already.

Nobody can beat MJ, when you think of basketball you think of Michael Jordan not Kobe, atleast not yet.

How many MVP's does Kobe have? None. And a threat to what title? Until Kobe gets five MVP's or six championships and multiple scoring titles, Kobe will NEVER dethrown MJ.

Publically, MJ hasn't said anything negative or hateful to Kobe. However we all know, deep inside, he is a bit nervous at how Kobe is doing so well and progressing. I think there is something inside him that makes him scared about Kobe taking the title of the greatest player. Definitely possible that Kobe can be better than Michael, just need 3 more rings. Hopefully, Andrew Bynum and the rest of the young Lakers develop so they can help Kobe go for the championship again.

MJ is the best there all-around player there will ever be. Kobe isn't even the best player right now much less better than MJ. Sure, Kobe is right up there with Wade, LeBron, Arenas, Nash, Dirk, Garnett, etc. but to put him on a pedastal would be ludicrous.

MJ couldn't care less about kobe.Jordan knows kobe isn't on his planet as far as playing.Maybe if kobe was better MJ might not like him but please kobe's not even in the top 5 all-time,why would MJ give a hoot about a cleary inferior player.

MJ doesn't hate Kobe...remember early in his retirement he watch Kobe play in Staples Center..MJ gives advice to Kobe with his game..
