My son cries a lot less now at 8 months than he did in the earlier months. He has learned how to communicate with me and does not get as frustrated when he doesn't get what he wants immediately. He now knows that when he's hungry, he can wine for less than a minute, but he stops when he sees the boppy pillow (he associates that with nursing) and waits patiently for me to get set. He used to cry until the boob entered his mouth!! He's also bottle fed, and he calms down when he sees me making the bottle, he knows he doesn't have to carry on. It's like that with a lot of things. I think he's more confident now, knowing I'm not going anywhere and I'll always be there for him. He's reassured enough to know there's no reason to carry on! I've always been there for him!
