Frank Zappa was great but in my opinion Alice Cooper is the greatest performer of all time and continues to put out great albums and tours to this day. He brought theatrics into music and is the king of shock rock. In fact, he has a new album coming out in May that I can't wait for. I own every Alice Cooper album though I do like some Zappa as well.

I like Alice Cooper, for songs. But I think Zappa is the better musician.

Alice is great, but Frank is by far the more talented of the pair! His music was decades ahead of it's time!

you do know that Alice Cooper is the whole bands name not just the lead singer. Like Blondie. But as someone else pointed out, apples and oranges. But Alice coopers "schools out" is my ultra favorite song.

They both are. LOL
They had different styles and were both very very good at what they did.
They both started their kind of act which many have copied.
Both had great music and talent.
So it's hard to say one is better than the other.
