I went up to labor & delivery tonight because i have been going through different things the past couple of days. 1. i keep waking up in the middle of the night with the most intense back pains ever!!! 2. Having horrible lower adominal pains that make me need to grab my lower stomache that willl come and go. But when i do have them they will stay for atleast an hour on an off! I am having a hard time doing anything, walking, laundry, anything!! and have been gettin really dizzy and tired easily. Also waking up @ night feeling really naseuated.
The doctor ( who hardly spoke english ) told me i was 1 cm dialated, and my cervix is thinning out a lot and my babies head is low. I kept having contractions when i was there. But said it was okay...
Could i be go into labor earlier than expected or is all this normal? i am 35 weeks, but always measured 2 weeks ahead of my time.

it's a chance that u may go into labour sooner than later. i am 39 wks in 2 more days and that s exactly how i am feeling times 2! i try to stay awake during the day so that i can try to sleep at least a few hours a night. but once i start to go and potty its all over for the rest of the night.is this you re 1st baby? if so usually when you start to dilate you cont. to within a week or so. good luck! and when in doubt do go to the e.r, better safe than sorry.

I definitely feel your pain. I am 39 weeks tomorrow and can barely walk to the mailbox. I stay up all night with pains that come and go but I really hate to go to the emergency room to be sent back home. I was 2cm dilated at 37 week appt and my sons head is so far engaged that I can barely turn over in my sleep. I was the same way with my daughter at 34 weeks and had her at 36 weeks so you never know. You are considered full term after 36 weeks.

i just had my baby 3 weeks ago, i went into labor at 3 am... the signs for me was.... for a hole week i was loosing my mucus plug ( for the hole week before, that was telling me it was getting closer) but that morning i woke up feeling like i was gonna vomit, i had a sharp pain in my lower back, and small pains in my tummy, not enough to make me have to bend over like that but enough to go owwwww..... well i was contracting every 4 mins and finally at 10 am my husband drove me to the hospital... they said i was only 1 cm and hardly thinned at all and the baby hadnt even droped, and that it was weird i was contracting so regularly... they sent me around the L&D floor over and over, for a hole hour, i came back to the room and it hadnt done anything. my doctor came in and wanted to do an ultrasound to check things out and realized i had low fluid so i stayed in the hospital and was induced.... so it sounds like you are going threw everything i went threw cept the mucus plug, so i would keep a very good eye out to see if you loose that soon... sounds like its getting really close though.... good luck.... i had an awsome expirence, even though the nurses were being dumb (not listening to my doctor, i had to wait 3 hours after my water was broke to get my epidural, talk about pain, OMG. stupid nurses, lol i was suppost to have it 15 mins after according to my doc but the nurse forgot to tell the other doc that does the medicine) anyways good luck :)
also i was induced at 39 weeks and 5 days. so i was a little farther then you but anything can happen, you never know :)

well i was 34 waes dialated to 3. having contractions all the time. you could be in early labor or you could just be having irregular contractions. i would say braxton hicks but they shouldnt be painful. you only have a few weeks to go...oh yea just because your fundal height measures 2 weeks ahead doesnt mean much to predict when you will have the baby, or to think you are going to have the baby sooner. good luck

They said you should be at least 4 cm before you're going to hospital, but if you feel like this, I say your cervix is already in that stage, so you should go go hopital right now

FIRST I KNOW WHAT YOUR GOING THROUGH...I'M WORKING ON MY FIFTH BABY..I'M 30 WEEKS NOW.
THAT IS ALL NORMAL..THE LONG AGONIZING PAINS ARE MUSCLES(I GET THEM ALL DAY LONG AND NIGHT)YOU PROBABLY ARE HAVING BRAXTON HICKS...THEY ARE LIKE FAKE CONTRACTIONS WITH REAL PAIN..BUT JUST HOLD ON B/C ITS ALL WORTH IT.......ALSO MOST FEMALES DIALATE TO 1 IN THEIR 4OR5 MONTH..
GOOD LUCK.
