Fast food and newspaper boy are primarily your two choices. I say "you", because I assume you're asking for yourself. Possibly, a grocery store, as a cart pusher. It depends on whether they require a work permit or not. I'm not sure if the national chain store such as Wal-Mart require permits, but I know they do hire high school age people. I know it's not the right season, but in the summertime you could try corn detassling, if you're in the right region. My younger brothers did that, and they weren't asked any questions about school, even they they were students. I know you don't want to hear it from some stranger who doesn't know anything about you, but unfortunately, these few choices may be what you'll be stuck with from now on. I'm not judging you, either. I finished 11th grade, then got my GED, and I'm still stuck with limited opportunities, many years later. Good luck with whatever you do!

The best paying job I can think of would be a waiter at a restaurant. Try some of the most popular restaurants in your area. With tips, you can make more than minimum wage probably at least 8-10$ an hour. Tell them you are getting your G.E.D and that you are a hard worker. Tell them you plan on furthering your education. I bet they will hire you.

WalMart or any fast food chain. Any place that pays only minimum wages. You don't have to have an education to make a hamburgers or fries. But I'm happy to know you're working on getting a G.E.D. After you get it you can go on to college or trade school, which you will need to do if you want to earn a decient living for the rest of your life. Good luck.

Depends on where you are. There is usually some kind of technical or vocational program with larger cities and with the states that target 16-24 year olds.

Contact your local social services department. They will be able to tell you what programs are available you to go into training for while you get your GED.

Maybe a restaurant or something... You could even just go on to college after you get your G.E.D if you feel like it. You'll be finished by the time you're 20... just in time for the fun to start.

Most places that hire youth would also consider hiring you and would be classified as a student since you are working on your GED. Since you are a minor, they would assume you are a student anyways. Once you get your GED, it is as good as a diploma. Applications for employment ask if you received high school diploma or GED, and does not ask you to indicate which one.
Good luck

Depending upon where you live, look in all of your local newspapers and shopper's guides for "hay". Wherever there is hay, there is need of 15-17 year old young men who, if willing to work on a farm, are paid like men. Also, look up "farm implement" outlets, like John Deere dealerships and mills. Go there in person, stand up straight, keep your hair out of your eyes, dress for work, look them straight in the eye and ask them for a job. Good luck.

I dropped out of high school and got my GED at age of 17. I started working at chili's and became manager and bought my first house at the age of 22. I am now 24 and people my age that went to college are now working for me. Go figure.

I would think that Mc Donald's, Wendy's, Taco Bell or Burger King will. Also grocery stores always need baggers.

Skateshop, fastfood, landscape, almost anything that requires manual labor. I advise that you drop back into school b/c g.e.d.'s aren't really worth much.
