Yes, thats a fair enough decision with sachin in as a vice captain.
The think tank (selectors) are trying to take the advantage of the vast experience of the player who has played the most number of ODI ever, and he has shown lot of cleverness with the bowl, showing the knowledge he has about the game, thats y he has been made the VCaptain of India.

There are two sides to consider whether selection of Sachin Tendulkar as Vice Captain was correct.
1) The most ideal decision should have been to select the
player whom you have in mind to become future captain
as the vice captain as he gets better exposure before
he takes over as captain.
2) I think Sachin Was selected as vice captain with an
apprehension whether he will feel bad to play under
a junior player in the absence of a regular captain.
May be this point weighed in the mind of selectors
in selecting Sachin as Vice Captain.

The Selectors under "Vengsarkar" has done superb jobs. Specially, "restricted" arrogant chappel and brought back players like Great Ganguly, Superb Zaheer and Spin wizard Kumble. But the decision of selecting sachin as "Vice-Captain" nothing but a insult to our Great Hero. In my opinion, Sachin should be appointed as "Captain" of "Team India". He is far far far better option than totally failed "Dravid".

Sachin must only be a team member so that he only emphasis on his batting but what to do with selectors who make his vice captain, by the way it is not a wise selection.

It hardly makes any difference. Sachin has been a team man since long. Whether he is VC or not, he would contribute his bit for the team. But certainly that man Vengesarkar has some selfish motive. While he has shown his zonal bias in deputing Sachin the VC, he has further tried to convey Dravid and Sehwag that there days are numbered.

Selectors should have selected young player like Yuvraj Singh as vice captain. Sachin was captain and degrading his post is not good. He should play his free game always.

I think its a good move. Sachin is the senior most player in the team and India needs his advice all the time. He is such an important person in the team. Even if he isnt performing, he can be so inspiring for the side.

because if he take that post he will not play well.

Tendulakr as captain was not successful.. His performance rapidly fall in that secnorio.
I think this is not fair because it casue extra burden on the class batsman..
India has player like Gangulay and yourag to be fowarded in the line of captaincy.
Gangulay has been a good captain.
So i think its not fair

The position of captain and vice captain are jinxed.So the worst players should be given tht position.how abt Sehwag as captain and Utthapa as VC?
