No major difference compared to XP....but I think it depend on your hardware. You should wait for the service pack untill all the bugs are fixed by Microsoft.

If you are playing computer game, then directX 10 is worthwhile.

nicely on your troublesome tension subject concerns, you are able to probable in basic terms partition it, preserving the size of each and every down below 60 gb. As on your questions, all i can assert is this: XP and 2000 are fairly the comparable OS, so there may well be no reason to twin boot. 2000, and XP use especially lots the comparable application drivers, so your hardware compatibility may be the comparable. XP has abode windows actual benefit, 2000 would not, that's the only component struggling with 2000 from working information superhighway explorer variations later than version 6.One good reason to enhance from 2000 is that i'm especially confident help and updates would be ending for 2000 sometime quickly. nevertheless, i think of XP is beginning to get long interior the tooth besides. If that have been my device, i might positioned the two Ubuntu or Linux Mint on it. yet at any fee, i don't think of you will have any problems upgrading to XP.

Depends on your hardware. Vista is a memory hog so unless you have lots of RAM it'll run very slow. And, some of the hardware drivers are still buggy right now. Personally I'm going to wait awhile, maybe until a service pack is released.

I don't think it is worth it unless your computer is old and you are thinking of buying a new one, or if your current XP is not doing the job for you. MS has just extended support for XP (excluding technical help) for another 5 years.

It probably depends on whether or not your hardware is compatible. Run the Advisor and if you are OK, and have $153 to spend, go for it! It looks good on the PCs I see in the stores.

You should go and look at The Register and read up on Vista and it's problems and make up your own mind. Personally, I wouldn't touch it.

I would wait. Not only is it a memory hog, but you need to check and make sure that your software is compatible and that you hardware vendors have updated drivers.
