There are probably several reasons... but my favorite, beyond saving money is...
The more gas we all consume the more oil we need, the more dependent we are on foreign oil, the more countries like Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and all of the Middle East matter to the U.S., the more we get involved there... the more it costs us in money and lives...
The less gas we all use the less we're dependent on foreign oil, the less reason we have to get involved in the middle east.

** Reduce greenhouse gas emissions = save the environment.
** Reduce dependence on Middle East and unstable political regimes that supply oil (such as Venezuela, Iran etc.).
** Save time by not having to fill car as frequently!

well, if you save gas yuo not only save money but oil as well. and oil will evetnualy run out. So, you will also be helping our enviroment that you happen to live in. By burning fossil fuels such as oil, we cause atmospheric problems such as acid rain. thats BAD!!! Actualy, burning fossil fuels creates sulfer, thats what creates acid rain.And if you as a human could help prevent against such disasters, why not?

You will emit less carbon dioxide which contributes to global warming. There also are toxins that are released from burning fuel.
