they say during the later stages of pregnancy the mother will be able to recognize her baby's sleep/wake patterns....but mine is always moving....does that mean the baby is going to turn out to be the kind that hardly sleeps?

Always moving is probably an exaggeration. A fetus that never slept wouldn't get rest and would use up all of it's energy. It's more likely that you're not aware of it sleeping, either because of external distractions or you being asleep yourself.

Yes, if your baby is very active in utero, it's a good bet that it will be very active later too. I'd even go so far as to bet on it being a boy.

Nah. The baby will have to get on a routine once they make their appearance into the world. Trust me, the baby sleeps. If you're moving alot then the baby is most likely sleeping them. Once you stop is whent he baby gets active. Your baby sleeps, you just don't realize it because you're busy!

Don't fret. The baby will sleep. It'll probably be an AWESOME sleeper!! Good luck!

Listen here is the answer which none seemed to mention. Your baby is moving even while he/she sleeps. Because u feel the baby often doesn't mean there not going to sleep. Its ok, don't worry and congrats and good luck!

No, how babies are in the womb does not necessarily mean they will be that way when they are born. My baby was just like that while I was pregnant. But when I had her, she showed off her truly laid-back personality. She slept for 1-2 hours, ate, was changed, maybe ate again, and then slept again. Yea, pretty easy..... though now, I'd say shes a little more rambunctious....

not at all!! my son moved around a lot too. when you are still and are more likely to be paying attention to baby is when baby's going to be more active. when you are moving it's kinda like the baby is in a great big waterbed and is rocked to sleep by your movements and is wakes up when the rocking stops.

well that is a good possibility. because usually the pattern they show in the womb is what they do when born. good luck on that one. get sleep when you can

NO. IT COULD BE YOU HAVE A LOT OF FLUID FOR THE BABY TO MOVE AROUND FREELY(WHICH IS GOOD).
AND IT DOESN'T ALWAYS MEAN HE/SHE IS AWAKE.
GOOD LUCK..
