I will pursue my graduate study in Toxiology and I am a little worried about if that will put my health in danger

No, so long as you take the proper precautions. Before you start your graduate studies, you should have taken enough classes to know exactly what the risks are, what chemicals and biologicals will do to you and how to avoid or minimize exposure. As with anything there is risk, but how hazardous it is is entirely up to how safe your lab practices are.Think of it this way, there are people working in HIV and infectious diseases labs who are not infected themselves. Also, where i study in our tox lab, no one has died or sicken themselves from exposure.

if you are at a level where you are pursuing graduate study you should know the answer to that.
