Hello. Do you want to disconnect or disable cookies? You could disable cookies, but there are some good and legitimate uses and sites for them. You do have to watch out for the MRU type, such the ones sites like Shopping.com or NexTag.com would use. They try to steer you to sites they want you to for money's sake (hence greed!). You could reduce the amount of megabytes used for cookies from Internet options and click on settings. I would recommend downloading the free small app called CCleaner, and after each net surfing run it to clear out your cache: cookies, typed url's, history, and items in your temporary files as well as recycle bin. It's free and works quite well. It'll clear up both IE and Firefox for you. To totally disable cookies would really diminish the level of quality from being online. Good luck.

You can eat them, then they never come back :)

You can set your browser to block all cookies, block only 3rd party cookies, session cookies, etc.

You can set your browser to empty temp internet files when your browser closes, which I recommend.

All of these can be done in internet options-privacy-and under advanced

what kind of a browser are you using? I don't remember what PCs are like, but on Macs you can click on the browser name (like Safari) on the menu bar at the top-left of the screen and select "preferences." Click on the "security" tab and click on the button next to your selection...select if you want the browser to accept cookies "always, never, OR only from sites you navigate to."
