Because of my rare blood type and medical problems, I can't be. My niece and husband are both organ donors.

I am. I encourage others to be, as well. Better for them to use anything useful than to burn or bury it. If your body isn't able to be used as an organ donation, considering donating your body for use in medical research. Cadaver research has given us lots of advances in knowledge about injuries and accidents. Or donate your body for use in a medical school or other school for training health care professionals. What a wonderful contribution to the future health of future generations.

Yes, and proudly so and no they will not "let you die" because you are an organ donor that is a myth that seems to pervade even though the contrary is true. Those decisions like that really dont come into play in a life or death situation.

I'm an organ donor, but some of my friends say I shouldn't because they say if a doctor discovers I am, he might not want try so hard to save me if I were in an accident or something.

I am for sure. Why would I need those parts of my body once I am gone anyway? I would rather contribute to someone's life rather than keep my body intact.

nope, i guess i'm a wuss or just plain greedy, i want to be creamated with all my parts, the idea of someone distributing my body freaks me out.
