They say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger... I often feel like Love makes me weak. What are your thoughts?

Love can make you FEEL weak but it does neither in reality. You feel weak because love makes you vulnerable. Believe it or not that's a good thing. Being vulnerable allows you to get closer to people and know yourself better.

My feelings are that love gives me the strength to get though hard times, and makes me weak when the person I love is in trouble or hurting and I can't do anything to fix it.
My boyfriend's philosophy is that love give strength or give it away. Love is love and it can't be equated with anything else.
Two philosophies, but linked by the very subject in question: our love.
