How old do have to be to own a gun licence in USA?

I wondered at what age you can legally shoot and own one?

It varies from state to state. In colorado you can buy rilfes at 18 and hand guns at 21. You can shoot at any age w/ an adult.

Most kids start shooting BB guns and .22's around 9 yrs old. In my state kids can start hunting at 14, buying a pistol is 21. Not all states violate the constitution and require a gun license to own a firearm.

I think it depends on what state....In CA you have to be 18 for a rifle and 21 for a handgun...doesnt matter how old you are to shoot a gun.
