If you love music, have a desire to learn music, want to express your feelings through music by means of a guitar, and aren't easily deterred by downfall. You have to be ambitious and willing to spend time on learning it. I can guarantee you a rough start, as with most guitarists. It takes practice. You need and you will learn, if you don't already have, finger-eye coordination, finger dexterity, and left hand-right hand coordination. You will also learn ear training and pitch. If you have creativity, you can learn the art of improvisation, one of the greatest yet most difficult aspects of music. By embracing many styles and genres of music, you can mold your own style through guitar. If you agree and can stick to these key points of a musician, then you can learn guitar.

you don't have to be a type to learn to play the guitar or take lessons, i'm getting my brother to teach me. it's really kool, and you know what, if you know how to play the piano, you have a better chance of being good really fast on the guitar. good luck with those lessons.

Well, to be honest, you can never truly know unless you try it. I believe anyone can learn anything. Even my girlfriend (who has been trying for about a year now) who has no previous musical experience is doing fairly well, so I suppose anyone can give it a try!
