Ask about the benefits. As you said, Starbucks is one of the top employers in the country. I've seen videos with the founder and he genuinely cares about the employees. They ALL get insurance if you work 20 hours a week or more plus you can probably contribute to a 401k. They also give you free merchandise. There is always more to a job than the hourly rate. Think about the future opportunities as well if you might be there for a while.

I worked at Starbucks for six months and your right it's great. But what you learn at Starbucks it that revolves around itself. Most people there are in it for the long haul( career). So unless your trying to make a career out of it ,i woulld chose Express.
Also at Starbucks, Tips are only going to be great if you work 30-40 hours a week. Tips are based on how many hours you work. Also Starbucks does give benefits to part-time employees , i don't know about Express. But you are definetly going to have to work for your money, so i would take the one with less stress.

Starbucks. With tips (depending on the store) you could be making about 9 bucks an hour. Plus they have stock options and health insurance available after you've worked there so long.

Starbucks has a very advanced training program which may benefit you greatly in your future endeavors. They are also very large and would provide more opportunity to advance your career.

Is your objective personal development or clubbing?

Dudes working in clothes stores are not very manly...so don't do that unless you want to get made fun of. Go work at Starbucks.
