My husband and I have been trying for three years, as stated above. After two miscarriages (twins, go figure!) we still haven't gotten anywhere. Any type of advice would be greatly appreciated. My faith is starting to wear thin and I could really use something helpful. Thanks!!!!!

P.S. To make matters worse... My three best friends have already EACH had children, and one is even on her second. Unfair, huh?

I am sorry for your losses. My first question would be do you do any sort of Basal Body Temperature (BBT) charting to monitor your cycle? BBT charting can reveal some good information about when you ovulate, how long your luteal phase is, your timing with being intimate in your fertile window, etc. If you have never done BBT charting, I highly recommend it. I will post links to some BBT sites below for you to look at.
Do you use ovulation predictor kits (OPK) or fertility monitors to pinpoint your ovulation day? How long are your cycles? Is your timing good (do you have intercourse in the fertile window of 3 days before and up to the day of ovulation)? These questions can be answered with BBT charting, research, and doing some home ovulation testing (links listed below in case you need them). Many times couple don't conceive because they don't know the details of the woman's cycle and when the best time is to conceive. Do you know when you are fertile? There is a narrow window of fertile time each month for a woman, and a man's sperm is viable for only on average 72 hours, so the timing has to be right for both. Every woman ovulates on her own timetable. Not all women ovulate at cycle day 14. For example, I ovulate on cycle day 20 usually. Your ovulation day can also change from month to month. If you already know all this, then sorry for the review of terminology. ;-)
If you are under age 35 and have not gotten pregnant with optimal timing, and 1 year has passed, it is usually recommended you follow up with your doctor. If you are 35 or older and not pregnant within 6 months of trying with optimal timing then folow up with your doctor. When a woman is 35 or over her fertility in general tends to decline, so it is advised not to delay seeking help. Most couples will conceive within 6 mos- year with optimally timed intercourse. If you have any concerns, it is never a bad idea to arrange a pre-conception appt with your doctor or just discuss your concerns.
Here are some links for you below. My personal favorite is Ovusoft, which has links to a wonderful book called Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It explains so much more than I can go into here. Hope these help & best wishes to you!

I know how you feel. I find it really difficult to hear that my friends are getting pregnant so easily when I am trying so hard and getting nowhere. I would think that since you have been pregnant you shouldn't have a problem getting there again. the thing I would talk to you dr about is what they think may have caused the miscarriage. Maybe there is something medically that can be done once pregnant to help keep things growing smoothly. I had a friend who had a tilited uterus and kept having miscarriages (3 or 4 i can't remember) but the dr monitored close and when she got pregnant the next time they did a procedure where they sewed her cervix closed and she carried to term. Now, i dont know that you wold have the dame issue but the point I am making is that there are many different things that can be done. I would see a dr. Good Luck!

I feel the same way! We are also TTC and I just wanna burst into tears when I start my period every month. Try ovulation predictor kits (if you haven't already) use one for a full month to find out when you ovulate, also order some preseed and use it when the kit says you are ready to ovulate (just google it) it's only 14.99 and its a lubricant that somehow helps women get pregnant. All the women I've asked have said it has worked for them. I tried it this month and I am waiting to see if I am preggers. Good luck! I hope we get our BFP soon!

well on the positive note you are able to get pregnant! so at least be happy for that. however you should really see your dr there could be something so simple detected by blood test that they can fix by giving you a supplement. however you may just want to look into a fertility specialtist, to make sure both you and your husbands parts are in good working order. good luck best wishes

i attempted for 3 years to conceive a 0.33 new child. as quickly as I gave up on the assumption and started removing the infant issues - wager what!! yet another perfect boy!! i think of in case you attempt too stressful it does not happen. i be responsive to ways disappointing it rather is to get a unfavorable consequence however the only thank you to be responsive to is to do the attempt. better of success - i'm thinking of you (let us know the end result!!)

You need to see your doctor ASAP. My hubby and I have been trying to have a baby for 3 years also. With 2 MC's. Your progesterone levels may be low in the beginning of your pregnancy causing you to spontaneously miscarry. Your doctor can prescibe you progesterone suppositories for this problem. Make sure you are both taking vitamins (hubby vitamins, you prenatal) and you are abstaining from Alcohol and CAFFINE (that one kills me every time :) ) Try charting on fertilityfriend.com and if you know when you ovulate take Robitussin in the days before to help thin the mucus in your Cervix. Making it easier for the sperm to travel. All in all RELAX... I know its hard believe me... See you doc and definantly ask about those Progesterone levels in both pregnacies.

See a doctor to see if there are any problems with your body or your husbands that could make it hard to conceive. You can also look into adoption if you are unable to carry a baby to term. Good luck.
