Since I was a little girl Ive struggled with holding back tears for no apparent reason. Even if I did something wrong and someone corrected me without even gettting mad at me or raising their voice I would still cry. Im 21 yrs old now and I still cry about any little thing. what do I do to stop this???

try to take life a little less seriousely, after all its only life........ but the way your like that is probably because you while growing up where either sheltered or never needed to be tough........ my sister is like that, and i can care less because when she was raised she was pampered a bit and never had any need to toughen up, where as when i was raised crying made every sittuation worse................ theres ntohing wrong with crying, just be confident and yourself.. forget others oppinions on your tears

Stop it your 21 now, it is time to grow up, that’s what you do. Don't take everything personal; let it slide thru one ear and out the other. Life is too short to cry at the drop of a hat.

nicely,I cried my eyes out in the time of "Caddyshack",so i assume i'm somewhat delicate...I keep in mind the scene, while Rodney Dangerfield made game of Ted Knight's new hat,in the golfing club save...believe me,this is a tear-jerker... i'm a delicate guy yet no longer emotionally undesirable...i'm overly delicate to the sentiments of others however and various times dance around a extra direct attitude, while handling confusing subjects... individually,i've got grow to be extremely resistant to private assaults against my individual although, advantageous in my potential to difuse maximum any subject the two in meekness and humility or if angered...hmmm..do exactly no longer anger me....

Find a therapist who you like and encourages you to open up. If you have been like this for much of your life, the answers are likely to be complex and will take time to resolve, but if you want to find them then you will. Good luck.

This would be an excellent thing to discuss with a psychologist. The reasons are probably highly individualized to you and are likely to be worth your understanding more about.

Take care and good luck.

Don't fight it. Let it all out. I suggest you do something completely "out of sorts" for you. Something that will be both mentally and physically challenging.

Were you babied as a child? Always told "everything is going to be just fine?" Just curious....for my own self. thanks.

You should look in the mirror when you cry. It really helps you see how childish you're acting. Man up!
