Is it nobler to face your fate or not?

If there's any coherence to tragedy, we observers love those who stand up, despite adversity, even though they may not win over it-- they perform their courage well enough to be recognized by us. And Hamlet is just the sort of figure racked by a tragic choice between horrible possibilities.

He could have ended his own life, or worse, ignored the violence in his own house. Both of which would have put a premature end to being. To be is not so much to merely exist, but to accept the world for what it is; if you fight that, you aren't truly there, at-home, or alive. Hamlet's fight is not for his bodily existence, but for the possible ways to be in the world-- all of which will end in his own untimely death; but only one will give him authenticity: the path of revenge

Glory be and behold, yeah, baby. i'm back while considering that, i teach you the overman. man is something that shall be overcome. what have you done to overcome him...the overman is the meaning of the earth...where is the lightning to lick you with its tongue? where is the frenzy with which you should be inoculated? behold, i teach you the overman: he is this lightning, he is this frenzy. lest ye shall not forget, there are no moral phenomena at all, but only a moral interpretation of phenomena—

that is the question...

I want to be, therefore I am (haha).

Let's continue on our journey in life, finding ways every day to help ourselves and others.

Why not be? Then you're dead, and there's no way back from that place

I choose to be. I choose to love, enjoy life and my fellow man. I choose God and to be forever.

"Not to be" is not really possible. It's like a negative act. You either are or are not.

depends on how you assert what benefit / quality is associated with it...

to be... in love. (naturally, of course)
to be .... grateful (surely)
to be... honest (of course)

not to be ... fooled (who wants to be?)
not to be ... late (tardiness wreaks havoc, right?)
not to be ... outdone/outwit/outclass (survival, right?)

so that would depend on what lies ahead....

ciao
