I believe the last one we dined at had only 6 tables which were immediately in front of the ordering counter. There was no seperation between the tables and the ordering counter and basically no privacy.

Seriously don't want to hear customers ordering and possibly arguing and don't want to see their buttocks either.

It looks to me like everytime I pass a KFC, there's no one in the dining room, and a string of cars at drive-up. They're probably just catering to demand.

A dining room is a non-income producing area. Many KFCs have no dining area at all, just walk-up order counters.

No one dines at restaurants anymore when they have the vhoice of eating at home. It's not just KFC. McDonalds and Wendy's kitchens have gotten smaller over the years also.

It's likely becuase of the stereotypical attitudes we have about dining out and how the people or restaurants who are being stereotyped are just adding insult to the stereotype they already have, thus turning the people/restaurants who ave some type of courtesy to shrinking Kitchens and more at-home eating.

No one goes to KFC for a sit down meal anymore and KFC knows that. It's in, order, grab the bag and away you go. So they aren't going to waste money on leased space that they pay for by the square foot when no one is going use it. Ambiance and KFC don't belong in the same sentence.

KFC is a dieing breed. They are not making as much money as they used to because more people are choosing healthier choices. This in turn lessons their profits and when they make knew restraunts they are going to be smaller. That is my theroy, not gospel.

That's a good question. I remember when they had large dining areas and an all -you-can-eat buffet. What did happen to that?

I'm guessing that most people who would eat at KFC would be ashamed to be seen there?
