No, stress cannot give you a false positive. It can cause you to skip your period, or have a late period. But as far as tests no. Because stress won't cause your body to create the hormone that the test is looking for.

Ok I have heard of false negatives, but never a false positive. I took a test in November and it was positive, I kept wondering if it could be a false positive as well. (due to medications, and health issues I had recently had) It was right. I am now 6 months pregnant.

I don't think stress can fool a pregnancy test anyway.

I'm a little confused... did you take a pregnancy test? Was it positive? If yes, then congratulations because stressed or not... you're pregnant!

NO..stress cannot give you a false positive......if it was positive it was because a pregnancy hormone called hcg was detected which means you are pregnant....Good Luck!

There is no such thing as a false positive. False negatives happen but if it reads positive you are pregnant.
