I'm just curious. I'm single and never been married. I hear a lot about how high the divorce rate is and it discourages. I want to get married somebody but at the same time I don't want to contribute to the divorce stats

From what I have read, the "curve" goes from highest (most number of divorces) to lowest (least number of divorces) as you age. If you think a moment about it, it makes sense. If you are older, you are more established, have more resources....etc). If you are older, you are also statistically less likely to cheat. Money and fidelity are the number 1 and two reasons for divorce.

I totally know what you're talking about. I think older people have a lower rate of divorce, but you just have to find someone that doesn't believe in divorce or that you get along with and truly love. It's tough, I totally am discouraged by divorce rates.

It is not the age. You can get married at any age you like. Don't wait for the right age. Wait for the right person. I can see that most of the traditional families has the low # of divorces.

I'd say any generation older than mine ... my being 50+ years old. As for your discouragement, don't bother with the statistics. Look for a good future with that someone ... and recognize that love is a choice rather than a feeling. Too many give up because they've (as the song goes) "lost that lovin' feeling".

0-10..They have non!Seriously now,the old people 60-70+
If someone was married for so many years I don't think it's much possible that he will divorce in that age, when he most needs another person beside him. Also they don't have the energy for that staff..lawyers etc..They are approaching the end of their life and there are much important things for them than their ego.
