I'm just curious. I'm single and never been married. I hear a lot about how high the divorce rate is and it discourages. I want to get married somebody but at the same time I don't want to contribute to the divorce stats.

WOW!!! Didn't mean to offend anyone. It was just a general question and to say that the stats don't matter is a lie.

I know that all age groups have divorces.

I am thinking ages 35 and above usually seem to have better chances at successful marriage as they are more mature and usually are more ready for marriage and for the commitment. I could be wrong though but this is how i feel about it. Do not let the divorce stats scare you from marrying. Just vow in your heart now to marry for love and for the right reasons and not the wrong ones and make sure they are the right person for you and your life. Just make sure it is the right person before marrying and settling down. Once you are married you have to be commited no matter what and vow in your heart to always try to work things out and always love the other person unselfishley and unconditionally. Pre marital counseling is important and helpful as well. God should be the center of your marriage as well and forgiveness of each others faults is always important as no one is perfect.

hmmm, i would say that the 10-15 year olds have the lowest divorce rate nowadays, other then that everyone in every age group is getting divorced, i even heard of some 80 year old granny filing for divorce, now that is obsurd

if you don't want to add to the statistic then make wise choices and once you are married don't do stupid things

There is no specific age group for the divorce rate, people divorce in all ages. Marriages is what you make of it, and what you put into it. You can't base your life on everybody statistics. Marriage is about open lines of communication, you must talk to one another, and keep God in the midst of the relationship to have a marriage that is successful. Be Blessed!

This is a ridiculous question which deserves a ridiculous answer....age group 90 to 100 has the least divorce rate. One does not marry worrying about adding to the divorce rate statistics!

Probably like 70 to 100 year old people. With that age group I do believe that cheating on your spouse is second to tending to each others needs. good luck!
