I think wearing flannel shirts with anything was a very popular trend back in the 90's. Looking back at it today, it was not very attractive.
The most publicized event that stood out to me would have to be the murder trial of O.J. Simpson. I cannot believe they found him not guilty.

But being a kid in this decade I remember awesome toys (like Puppy Surprise) and kickass movies like The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast.
I think when other people think of it they think of flannel, Nirvana, Clinton, Friends, Snoop Dogg?

Grunge was really in. With shoulder pads (shudder). Cartoons were better back then on Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network. Tamagotchi pets, Furby, and Pokemon
