Well the USA was a booming industrial economy From the very beginning they believed in the capitalist system.They regarded Europe as leftists.

Socialist theories foster under oppression, and repression. In the U.S. things were to good. Despite the huge migration to the US people were finding jobs, building houses going to Church worshiping whatever god they choose, etc. The ability to create wealth was in there own hands, and many prospered. Their was some socialist movements in the heavy industry and coal mining, but until the 1960's the capitalist and industrialist America was to prosperous and the majority of the population benefited from this to the point of contentment.
