Orca (I LOVE it) is an anti-male hate-monger.
Interesting that her ratings are high yet according to the resident feminists here, women don't watch it. The answer therefore must be that the men are all carrying portable TVs to the job site and secretly watching her sexism. I wonder if the commercials are aimed at men or women...
I have to admit that I have never watched a whole show (I get too upset at the overt sexism that, if the roles were reversed, feminists (and real women) would be up in arms over) but the bits and pieces I have seen were so anti-male and/or shamelessly pro-woman as to gag a maggot.
Those who think such hate-filled promotion does not work should wonder why commercials on national TV are so expensive. They don't work but companies are spending $millions to produce and air them??????

Logically, since MTV effects the teen crowd in both positive and negative ways, clearly male bashing on Tv effects the females (who are already a bit biased against men) who watch enough TV to experience the bashing.
Anyone who disagrees then believes that the media absolutly doesn't effect people. Or believes the media effects everything and everyone in some way, but somehow absolutly doesn't effect this issue on male bashing. Which is clearly illogical.

Most wives are far too busy working themselves and doing a second shift at home to bother much with t.v. By the time all the work is done around the house and the husband has been dusted, there is really nothing much to do but sleep. Do men turn against their wives watching pornography and expecting their wives to perform in this way after they have worked twelve hours came home and worked another six and during that six hours watched their husband laying on the chesterfield in a pair of stained underpants scratching his fat *** them moving to the front, before popping a few cheetoes into his mouth that originally landed on his beer belly and washing this down with a few swigs of guinness??

TV can only turn a wife against her husband, IF their relationship has no substance, you know, not real, just for show. Like when you go out in public and you are all lovey dovey, you know, kissing, hand-holding and gazing into each others' eyes, like you two are the only ones in this world, he opens the door for her, he pulls the chair out for her and you keep whispering little sweet nothings in her ear AND THEN you get home and he opens the front door and you better hurry up and get in before the door hits ya because now we don't have to perform anymore because you are not before the people, but before your wife, the real world. If you are not taking care of home, you know, caring and loving on each other, then, yes, TV will give your wife some avenues, but if you are not doing your homework! If you are, then you, have nothing to worry about, but if you are not, then be afraid, be very afraid, because the TV will serve as a comforter instead of, a form of entertainment. Do the right thing: TAKE CARE OF HOME, FIRST!!!!!!!!

Only in The Feminist Republic of America could a husband work all day to support his wife/kids, only to see that she watches shows like Opra reminding her that she is soooo downtrodden, and coaches her toward divorce.
Opra should be declared illegal.

Um, no. Besides, this isn't the '50s-- most women are out there working, with many earning more than their spouse.
For those who do stay home, I would hope they have the intelligence to distinguish between what's on TV and what's at home.

No. Women do so much work around the house that women NEVER have time to watch television. I have no idea where you are getting figures for ratings of television programs like Oprah from because there is obviously NO WAY there are any women around with enough free time to watch it.
And exactly Doh, we have to do so much work during marriage and men do so little however when it comes to divorce it is important to remember that the man's contribution (money) is of the UTMOST IMPORTANCE to the woman in the case of alimony and the child in the case of child support, whereas a woman's reciprocal services to him which supposedly enable him to make that much money are now approximately zero.
Maybe I should follow up with a tl;dr post, quoting the wikipedia entry on 'bacon' just to make my point that it is men that are the cranks, rather than the crank simply being me.

I'm having visuals of killer whales conversing with my wife while I am working. I think you meant Oprah.
First and foremost, my wife does get a chance to watch trash TV while I am working. She is quite busy with the kids, and running our house. So, my answer is no
