We must commit ourselves to peeling away the logical tangles, squeezing the most out of our rational, cognitive and verbal faculties.

But in the end, when we come to that point where intellect can take us no further, we must bow in silence before the mystery -- and participate with it on its own ineffable terms.

Back and forth, we must switch between intellect and intuition, between rational, objective knowledge and embodied paradox.

Achieving such a synthesis involves a shift to "participatory epistemology" -- a way of knowing that takes us into the heart of mystery, and invites the paradox of consciousness into our very being.

Intuition points out a direction, while intellect uses fact-finding and logic to reach the detailed conclusion. Intuition would never have gotten us to the moon, or even have built Boulder Dam, for that matter. Both are needed; but personally, if I could choose to increase one or the other, for myself I would choose an improved intellect.

Intuitive!!

Intellectual skill is wonderful. But intuition is far superior. It is the faculty of KNOWING truth without data or input from the senses. It is one of the greatest gifts any person can have.

My grandmother always told me to go with your first mind, and has not your professor or teacher has not always told that the first answer you choose is typically the correct one? Intellectual does has it purpose, but cannot replace intuition because it is your gut sense and usually gets out of some dangerous and difficult times. There are times when the answers do lie within yourself

as long as i had them both i truthefully would much rather have intellect.... intuition can do many things but being able to clearly and rationally think things threw and come up with solutions based on your logic and intuition seems like the basis of a more sound decision.

Undoubtedly, more intuitive. Nine out of ten times I miss what direction I should go if I reason out things (using my intellect) rather than listen to my "inner voice" (intuition) ... a gift from God.
