The bogus landlord committed fraud.

Report her to Section 8 and follow through so she'll never get housing assistance from them again.

Sue her for any money that was given to her. She may not be able to pay you right away (if ever) but your judgment will be on her credit for 7-10 years and affect her ability to obtain housing once Section 8 cuts her loose.

It's absolutely disgusting for someone to do this to a kid and worse still that she's using her handout (Section 8) to perpetrate a fraud.

I guess the best course of action would be to report the woman and make her lose her place. It isn't right what she is doing and she needs to be reported. As for your daughter, she could sue for the money that she paid, but the women would probably stiff her even if your daughter won. So, the only real recourse is to kick her out.

Definitely get the police involved. They would be able to inform you of the action that needs to be taken. If there was no written agreement you could have trouble but it shouldn't be hard to prove what the lady did.

the two. the guy renting advantages because of the fact they get a place to stay. the owner advantages because of the fact he gets income to assist offset the expenses of possessing the development. Are we doing all your homework?

THIS WOULD BE A MATTER FOR THE POLICE AND SOCIAL SERVICES... OR THE HOUSING AUTHORITY..AN ILLEGAL ACT ON THIS PERSON'S PART... POLICE CAN INFORM YOU OF THE ROUTE TO TAKE.
