I was walking down the hallway at the hotel where I work today and I heard a really, really loud buzzing sound. Like a beehive was preparing for an attack. It took me forever to find the source. It was the most annoying sound ever! It was the magnetic lock that holds a fire door. I guess if it's not centered, it makes that awful racket. Who knew?

It was right after the movie "The Shining" came out. My daughter was a baby (less than 2 yrs old) Of course she didn't watch the movie...but...having said that....THE WEIRDEST sound I've ever heard was out of my baby daughter's mouth in the middle of the night.

I heard her stirring so I got up to check on her. I walked into her room and found her sitting up in bed. Her eyes were open but she didn't appear to be "awake." I went to her crib to lay her back down and the next thing I know she holds her finger up and scrunches it back down and said "red rum, red rum" in a low, raspy voice.

I SCREAMED bloody murder. My husband came flying into her room in his whitie tightie undies (this was 25 yrs ago) yelling..."WHAT'S WRONG??"

My daughter had laid back down and was fast asleep looking like a little angel. I told him what had happened. He told me I was dreaming, go back to bed and never scare him like that again!

My daughter was too little for her to remember that now and she never did it again. I have never been more frightened in my entire life. It was the weirdest sound EVER!

I'm assuming she either heard the tv when the movie was on or heard her dad repeating it because he did a lot right after he watched that movie and I guess she just repeated it....in her sleep....with the finger motion and all !!?????

True Story!

A ghost speaking in Latin to me on my bed, in my old home when I was eighth years old, on the summer of 1979 Hancock Ave Jersey City NJ.

The house is still there. When I turn twenty four year old I learned from my three other sister. That they also seen and heard the women speak to them . Our body was also risings up while sleeping on our own bed, and the rapidly drooped back on the bed once we had open our eyes.

When my husband and I were having new windows installed in our home, one of the workers forgot (or neglected) to properly seal one of the new ones in the spare bedroom. One morning, at about 2 or 3 a.m., a wind came through and pushed the window out of the hole in the side of the house and it came crashing down on the hardwood floor. Let me tell you, that scared the living crap out of us and was a very strange noise to wake up to at that time of the morning.
