Depending on the state probably. I know that in Texas they do and most other states do as well. Your best bet. BE HONEST!!! Tell them before they find out. If they have to hunt for it or ask you about it they will definitely hold it against you... If you explain the circumstances and that the charges were dropped it will look better on your part. On your record it will read something to the effect of Stupidity(just an example) 1-0 meaning 1 arrest and 0 convictions. Hope this helps

If they have access to any law enforcement agency it will show you were arrested but it will also show that the charges were dropped or you were no convicted, I'm not sure what they will come up with on a commercial background check, but it should be public records unless you were a minor when you were arrested. If you went to trial and were not convicted it will definitely be in the public records if you were an adult.

In Canada an ordinary background check only list the charges that went to conviction. Any employer requiring a detailed record check for a sensitive or high security type of job (lab in gold mine, gold brick transport) can get more information using the same signed records check form from the local police force. For an ordinary check , like in your case, your arrest would not show up here.Check in your state on the status of Pardon Laws. If you have that option , go for it . It's worth it.

YES they do! I had a background check done for a job on time and they ran on on me. I had been arrested for Domestic Violence in Ohio which is a Misdemeanor charge. It showed up on there and it also showed up when they ran my fingerprints.
This Offense took place in Ohio almost 4 years ago and I am in Tennessee now. But it didn't matter it still showed up!

No they will not show up on your background check. You are "not guilty" until proven otherwise. Espically since the charges were dropped!

Depends on the laws regarding court records in your state. Some courts hold the records of dropped cases and some just delete them.

It may come up as a sub record such as DMV. Get an H-6 print out for five dollars and find out for certain.
