The milky way galaxy contains between 200 and 400 billion stars. Estimate the number of stars in a cluster of 30 galaxies similar in size to the milky way. Your answer should consist of a low esimate and a high esimate, both expressed in scientific notation.

Wouldn't that just be
200 billion * 30 < total stars of 30 galaxies < 400 billion * 30, or

6*10^12 < total stars of 30 galaxies < 1.2*10^13

Just 30 times the high and low estimate for the milky way galaxy.

a billion = 1E9

Use that and rscanner's answer and you're there.
