Not sure of your question. Are you asking what the stock is doing, or are you asking perhaps what'll happen once they merge w/ SBC Global?

As for the stock, it's still in a nice uptrend that it's been in since last May.

Here's a picture of the chart.

Or here's a small picture of it.

Hope that helps!

Two issues. First, SBC, which long ago was a division of AT&T when the baby bell breakup took place, bought out AT&T Wireless for their Cingular division. Then AT&T still was floundering, so SBC bought out AT&T. But what is in a name? The name recognition and that intrinsic value for AT&T was a bigger asset value than SBC, so SBC then assumed the name of AT&T.

Second, if you are wondering why the stock tanked recently, it started in a selloff in the Shanghi stock exchange because the Chinese government was clamping down on all that nasty capitalism, since the government is still communist. Since we now have half of everything made in China, that affects our economy too. Result was that the biggest bunch of American stocks started dropping as people feared another market crash--a self-fulfilling prophecy. It is coming back, give it time.

There was a stock market crash. Things are slowly rising. But buy things now while they're cheap.

If they not there anymore: SBC & AT&T merged, therefore the stock name may have changed.

If you noticed a decline or increase: i have no idea.
