my door on my mitsubishi 3000gt wont open from the inside?

Question

when i look inside my door and pull the handle from the inside i can see parts moving, but it wont actually unlach my door... it was weak for a while and was hard to open, then it got water down inside of it and froze... now it wont open at all no matter how hard i try... but the outside handle works fine... suggestions on a fix without taking it somewhere?

instructions on a fix/replacement on the handle would be awesome too!

u still have to buy the door handle flange.. it probaly broken ..open your door trim and see.. i hv encounter this problem bfore..
