what are the most important aspects of agriculture literacy?

i am trying to write a speech about the importance of agriculture and how most people dont even care or are ignorant to it. i am trying to make it a persuasion speech so my audience will want to do something about this. i am looking for what woudl be some good areas to hit on. thanks!

Ability to identify gm (Genetically Modified) Food and food that are grwon with the help of organic manures only.

The importance of agriculture is protect the human form the famine. There are no difference area can make food direct to human like agriculture.
