I have to do a project and i have to find out y they wore they clothes they wore.

Hi,
There where different types of gladiators and depending of what type they where, they used different clothes. Some were more heavily dressed and others were lightly dressed so they could move faster
The gladiators represented diferent characters.
For example, the "murmillo" represented a fish and it was dressed with a heavy closed helm, a leg protector and a little shield.
His usual rival was de "retiario", the fisher, who only had a trident and a mesh.

wearing too much clothes was for cowards, so wore minimum.
