The company brought me to this country. And i was under contract for 2 years (renew annually). They took care of my visa & accommodation. However, during 3 months here, i was very uncomfortable with everything here.

The contract said it's ok to quit the job, and i don't have to pay for the remaining months of the contract period. But the boss twisted this thing around, though i know i am right.

Can i just go back to my home country? Coz i don't wanna go through the trouble dealing with my embassy, going to court, etc.

Can they hold me back in the airport or if not, when i am at my home country, can they take me back to this country and go to prison here?

Coz i'm really1000x scare right now.. :( They threaten me.. And i just want to go home

i work as computer programmer, and yeah, i am underpaid too.
I have passport and my visa is still valid.
The problem to seek legal aid and stuff is, i don't want to stay here anymore, coz i'm really2 scared, and i don't have anybody that i know here.
My current concern is : 1. at the airport and 2. when i got back home, do they have any jurisdiction to get me in to court..

Somewhere there is Legal Aid, and the consultation would be free. Look in the yellow pages under that topic, also go to the front of the phone book and find the Government section, find the county in which you are living. Look under Legal Aid there, or under Social Services, and find the topic there which most relates to your situation. The thing about Social Services is, if you say what you're looking for, you'll usually be connected to someone who knows what's going on, or they'll give you names or numbers of agencies which can help.
Don't just go, there could be problems later which you could have avoided by doing things a better way. You want to make this as successful, as trouble-free as possible for yourself.
I'm sorry things didn't work out for you. If you get back home without any problems, maybe something else will work out for you in the future. Best wishes for your comfort and happiness.

Start doing a not so good job at work. Make mistakes, mess things up. It will make them fire you, or let you quit either one. If they say you are doing it on purpose, just tell them they are making you nervous because they won't let you quit and you are having trouble consentrating.

Another option is for you to seek legal guidance on your own without discussing it with your boss. You will want to give the lawyer a copy of the contract to read.

I think what you are dealing with is called a hostile working environment. I am almost certain it is not legal for them to try to force you to work. My guess is you have already more than paid them back for you visa and other things, because foreign workers tend to be paid less than they deserve.

You could also go to the local news paper or tv news station. Sometimes they can help with such things.

Good Luck to you!

Sounds illegal as hell to me!!! You can't be held in this country against your will (well, unless you are in prison).

Do you have your passport in your possession?? If so, I'd think you can go anywhere you want to. People break contracts every day for all kinds of reasons. There may be legal backlash - but I don't think they can force you to stay in this country.

What kind of work are you doing?? Sounds like they are trying to intimidate you. If it was me..........I'd be at the airport tomorrow.
